New Play Gets Reading at Chicago Dramatists
OCTOBER 13, 2006 -- My newest one-act play, Northern Lights, will get a staged reading November 4 at Chicago Dramatists, a major venue for playwrights.
Northern Lights was one of five plays chosen for the theatre's 10-Minute Workshop competition.
I'm very proud of this play. Like Shimmering Souldust, which was a finalist in another contest in August, the themes here are fairly grim. Death, insanity, etc.
It will be great to see it up on its feet and to get feedback. I now have three good plays in the can for another show I'll put on some time next year.
The workshop is open to the public and will take place at 2 pm, Saturday, November 4 at Chicago Dramatists Theatre, 1105 West Chicago Avenue.
