Creative Development

  • Created and performed live programming for a national meeting of senior sales executives at AC Nielsen.
  • Scripted and performed in a series of comedic, message-driven video vignettes used in global training and orientation for sales managers of Gartner.
  • Developed videos and sketches to reinforce messaging and provide comic relief at events for Motorola, Navistar and Creative Memories.

Crisis Communications

  • Managed crisis communications for companies undergoing restructurings, workforce reductions, facility closings, labor strife, product recalls and earnings restatements. Clients have included McKesson HBOC, Motorola and Navistar.
  • Provided crisis communications counsel and long-term planning for the dealer organization of Bridgestone/Firestone.
  • Directed all communications related to Navistar's successful efforts to secure a competitive labor contract with its unionized workforce.

Internal Communications

  • Devised and implemented a long-range internal communications program that drove culture change and financial turnaround at Navistar (now International Truck & Engine).
  • Designed and implemented a plan for a division of Motorola to define, communicate and gain employee buy-in for a new mission and market positioning.
  • Devised and implemented a global electronic communications and collaboration platform for the global IT department of BP.

Legal Marketing

  • Led an overhaul of brand positioning for Freeborn & Peters that encompassed new advertising, collateral, practice brochures, recruiting materials and website.
  • Implemented a comprehensive reconfiguration of marketing collateral for Baker & McKenzie to create consistency among the firm's many diverse practices.
  • Developed copy for an award-winning marketing piece commemorating Mayer Brown's 125th Anniversary.

Media Relations

  • Wrote and placed op-eds and letters to the editor in national, regional and trade media, including the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times and Financial Executive.
  • Directed successful media events for state attorneys general at the White House, Supreme Court and on Capitol Hill.
  • Created award-winning national public service campaigns with the FTC and FDA that educated millions of consumers about fraud related to telemarketing, weight loss and credit repair.

Recruiting

  • Devised strategies and materials to recruit physicians and residents for NorthShore University HealthSystem (formerly Evanston Northwestern Healthcare).
  • Developed a campaign and materials (print, web and video) to recruit partners and associates to Freeborn & Peters.
